Well, our 6 hour flight schedule to Philadelphia turned into a 36 hour detour through Pensacola, Florida (for gas, since we used it all flying over Atlanta for 3 extra hours), Atlanta, Georgia (where we had an unexpected overnight stay!), to Cincinnati, Ohio and finally to Philly, a day late!

Aubrey found a 4 inch DVD player with cartoons at one of the airport stores during one of many long waits. She set up herself and her teddy bear and was happy as could be.

I survived the very scary driving in Philly. People honk constantly, the roads are narrow, pedestrians cross at all times (regardless if you are driving straight in their path at 40 MPH), one-way streets jump out of nowhere, people park in the middle median, delivery trucks stop wherever they are and unload......oh, I prayed non-stop during commutes!

This is William Penn, Pennsylvania's founder.

One of our highlights came on Wednesday when we drove to cute little Aberdeen, MD to have lunch with Aunt Nancy. We picked a little cafe called Mamie's along with the Red Hat Society ladies. (Thank you for lunch, sweet Nancy!)

We loved driving through parts of Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey with the top down and the music up!

Aubrey picked out the American Flag for her newest brace.

Now back to the real world....chores! We are so glad to be home!

Hey Sweetie, I am glad you survived this all. It is hard to believe as we are experiencing rain and temps in the high 40's to see Aubrey in sun dresses. Love you, MOM
Welcome home cutie pies! I'm sure your man & other bug are happy as clams to have you back. Loved the story of your trip :) Muchos love, Sherrie
You made a really long trip look like a lot of fun! More great pictures!
The driving story and map caused me some angst. I'm proud of you being such a big girl--I wouldn't have attempted it!!! Convertible looks like a lot of fun. I'm sure you'll both have memories of this trip for a long, long time!
Such a patriot brace. Glad you're back. We leave for big ranch on Tuesday for branding. Non-stop craziness!
Your brace is terrific! It looks like you all had fun. I love to see patriotism at such a young age.
We love you, Stacey
