The Pie Festival in Pie Town, NM was a success. We didn't know what to expect since it was our maiden voyage.....but it was lots of fun. Events included a pie eating contest, face painting, horny toad race, arts and crafts booths, and of course, REAL FOOD! Real Navajo Tacos topped with fresh green chili, Frito pie for the girls, and BBQ brisket and green chili corn. Yummmmm.The best part was hanging out with family ~ We love you all.
We are so blessed.
Shall we pencil it in for next year?

Do you know how much I am missing green chili right now? The smell of green chili roasting is noticably absent from Indiana. Your description of pie town festivities make me long for New Mexico. I'm with you all in spirit. Aubrey- that is exactly what I would have picked! -Stace
