Stacey had so much to show us in her new community. We played and ate, and explored and ate, and relaxed and ate, and exercised and ate. And everyone knows my very favorite hobby is eating.....so yeah! What a lovely weekend.
Here are our precious, sweet girls having a chat at the side of the pool. They were inseparable the entire 4 1/2 days.

Then an enchanted bike ride through a forest in the middle of town! So many beautiful, green lush trees. On the return trip, in the twilight, we spotted lighting bugs ~ what a thrill.
Of course, we had to stop for a bite. BBQ with a side of fried biscuits!!! So delicious. Don't get mad, mom, it was a special occasion.

Coming from the desert, I had never seen this before!

We went to the exhibit, Bodies. It was amazing, but no pictures were allowed. We also ate in downtown Indianapolis, of course.
The kids had a special request for the weekend. They wanted to run a lemonade stand. They brought in 75 cents each and were excited as could be!

Stacey took us out to a precious little cafe called Bub's for breakfast one morning.
One of Bub's specialties are their homemade donut holes....cutely named, "Bub holes." They were super superb!
Then we strolled downtown Carmel, Indiana.
It has lots of charm and good reading.
We stopped at a sweet candy store....

Lightening bugs were always my favorite when we'd go visit my Grandma and Grandpa in Ohio. It's just cruel and unusual that we don't have them here. My children have only been around them once for about 5 minutes last summer when we visited Maine while visiting Boston. (Does that make sense?) They couldn't even get out of the car because of the mosquitos!
